ABOUT THE NEW EKITI DREAM BOOK

30 YEARS SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR EKITI STATE

WHAT IS THE NED POLICY BOOK ALL ABOUT?

It goes without saying that most of the developed nations and certain city states all have their enviable socio-economic success stories traceable to the systemic actualization of their invented long-term socio-economic development blueprints. This is in contrast to the recurring myopic agendum of the most under-developed States.

Good citations are the Asian Tigers, the nations of South Korea, Taiwan and the city states of Hong Kong and Singapore. These states all had well-defined long-term economic development blueprints, with their actualization being actively pursued by the central government, while at the same time diligently guiding the economy forward through series of developmental phases until full industrialization was reached.

This is what I term "guided capitalism" economic system. Hence the phrase "Tiger Economy" with respect to the skyrocketing features of their economy within few decades after gaining independence.

By the matter of fact, for Ekiti State to become a fully developed state within my speculated period of 3 decades, the State Government must pursue the actualization of well-defined goals through the implementation of viable policy and legislative tools.
